During the COVID-19 epidemic, there are so many things which don’t work as they used to.Many of us are led to stay home, and we became frustrated.  I am also the same, as my job is to deal directly with peopleNothing is working well, and sometimes I wonder when it willend.  However, it is wrong to assume God has forgotten us when nothing is working for us

1. Invisible things are continuing to work.

Trees in the winter may be a good example.  During the winter, all leaves on the trees are gone, and they look bare.  It seems nothing is happening from outside.  However, under the trees, roots are growing stronger to prepare for the spring to come.  When we think “nothing is working,” we are making judgement only based onwhat we see.

2. “The time of God” has not yet come.

It is true that there are times when nothing is really happening.  When that happens, we become impatient and frustrated, yet there is nothing we can do to advance the situation.  After all, “the time of God” has not yet come, so things do not move forward, no matter what we do.  Yet, when “the time of God” comes, no matter what we do, things will move and be completed.  Just as the Bible says “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: (Ecclesiastes 3:1).”

3. The time to consider

The Bible says “When time are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: (Ecclesiastes 7:14).” When nothing is moving forward, it is the time for us to“consider.”  The word “consider” does not particularly mean to seek what you had done wrong.  Instead, it may be the time for you to notice or realize a different way of doing things from the ones you have been doing.  It may be the time when God shows you different ways, and leads us to a higher level.  And that is the reason that God makes you to be still.

So, remember God’s will, and stay in peace.

“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9)”
