Due to the starting of the vaccination for COVID 19 in Japan, we often hear the work of immune. As I checked the meaning of the word in Japanese, I was surprised.
The word “Men-eki (immune, in Japanese) means that one is forgiven from plague. It is a self-defensive mechanism. When virus enter into a body, immune fight back, and keeping the body in healthy condition. There are many things involve in this process, such as microphages, helper T-cells, and NK cells.
These immune cells are excellent in term of identifying intruders and their sizes, and producing enough and appropriate immune cells. These cells also communicate to each other, passing detailed information about intruders, and fight against them as a team. They also memorize intruders’ information for the next attack.
These things happen without us knowing, nor we never have to give an instruction to any of those cells. We are invaded by many different bacteria daily, yet we live our life without noticing. Many say “these mechanisms are developed naturally”, but it is difficult to believe it was developed by chance. The Bible teaches us that there is the designer beyond human understanding, and this being “God” created all. This seems much more logical, doesn’t it.
The Bible says “Remember your Creator in the days of your youth (Ecclesiastes 12:1).” When everything going great for you, then knowing God does not affect you much. But in the time of difficulty, you may panic if you don’t know Him. People who believe in God may stay in peace, even they face the problem that cannot be solved by themselves. They can stay in peace, because they trustGod will handle it.
