The life can be restarted
Due to the Covid-19, we could not gather at the church for the Easter worship. However, let us thank God that the church could send out the Easter message through internet.
The Bible shows the first words of Jesus, just after winning the victory over death.
“Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me. (Matthew28:10)”
Why Jesus decided to meet his disciples in Galilee, instead of in Jerusalem where everybody was there? This show how considerate Jesus is to his disciples, giving another chance to restart their lives.
For few days until Jesus was resurrected, all the disciples felt guilty, how weak and miserable they were. They all betrayed Jesus, so they could save themselves. They were disgusted with themselves for being so selfish that they did not even think of trying to rescue Jesus. They must of felt that they could not go on with their lives any longer.
Yet, Jesus told them to “meet him in Galilee.” In Galilee, it was the place where those disciples met Jesus for their first time, received power, love, and faith. Galilee was their starting point. The disciples were hurt and condemned with sins, so Jesus decided to give them the chance of restarting their lives. Thus, Jesus led them to the place where their faith was started. Galilee was the place where they can regain their chance of starting over.
Do you wish to restart your life, may be because of your sins, weaknesses, or mistakes you made? You might be thinking that there is no way back to reset everything. Jesus who was resurrected is telling you “there is the restart of your faith and your life, “there, I will see you.” Until now, you might be depended on your own abilities rather than faith. If you realize that was an “empty tomb,” then please get to know the Lord who won victory over death.
