September has arrived. It is the month of disaster prevention. The Great Kanto Earthquake was the origin of this, and also many Typhoons and natural disasters tend to hit in September. Are you prepared in case of such emergency?

The world is changing quickly. How many people could predict the current situation when it changed from Heisei to Reiwa? “Reiwa” meant to mean “culture grows as people beautifully care for each other. Yet, as it changed into Reiwa, we experience the Corona pandemic, invasion into Ukraine, inflation and so on. No one predicted such things, and we can never be at rest.

As the number of earthquake increase, more people are purchasing disaster goods. We also purchased them to prepare for disasters. People say “no worry if prepared,” but would disasters goods really give you peace of mind? Such goods may be useful if you were injured or go without any food. However, when your life is threatened, such goods become useless.

What should you do when your life is threatened? Are you prepared to keep peace of mind, even when you suddenly face the last day of your life? There is a way. It is the life after death which the Bible teaches us. The Bible tells us about heaven, and also the way to go to heaven. Jesus said;

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my father’s house are many rooms; … Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. (John 14: 1,2,27)

“My father’s house” means Heaven. The world that have no suffering, sorrows, or death. Through believing in Christ, we can restore the relationship with God, and receive eternal life. Knowing where you are heading to, and being assured that you will be there, will give you peace of mind. Whatever happens to you, you will feel at ease.

No one knows what will happen tomorrow. How happy we would be to prepare in time of peaceful and healthy days.
