Do you have an ally to support you at any situation?
The Olympic is over. Japan won the most medals in history, and many of us were encouraged. Yet, as we listen to those athletes, they don’t always rejoice. The reason is that there are many slandering and criticize on the internet. There are comments such as “don’t be standing out” or “you used to be such and such.” These comments hurt athletes. Some athletes cannot take these comments, and mentally damaged by them.
When we focus on how people see us and evaluate us, then we might get hurt. We may feel “I am not worthy”, and live a destructive life. Unfortunately, no matter how hard we try, there will be always slandering. We don’t have to be an athlete. So how can we protect ourselves, and live our lives peacefully?
Let me introduce a verse from the Bible which is encouraging. “The LORD your God is with you, … He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing (Zephaniah 3:17).” I have many weaknesses, but there is God who rejoice for just the way I am. This is encouraging to me. When I am happy, I may start humming. Yet when God thinks of me, he loves me so much that he starts singing. And his words never change.
When we look up to our Creator, we receive the “Unwavering Foundation.” When we accept God who takes in all of our weaknesses, then we could live our lives freely. Where are you going to set your foundation of your life?
